MORAY HAS RECEIVED a massive boost from a national holiday lettings agency with the revelation that the region was in the Top 10 most desirable places to visit of the Spring bank holiday. Data release today by HolidayLettings.co.uk , who are the UK’s leading holiday home online resource and part of the TripAdvisor network, has placed Moray in ninth place – with only the Isle of Bute rated as more desirable in Scotland. Scotland top 10 destination to visit 2017.

Scotland has been named one of the top 10 countries to visit in 2017. It is second on the Rough Guides' list of "must see" destinations, which also includes Uganda, Bolivia and India. The travel company said a Highland road trip along the North Coast 500 was one of the main reasons to visit Scotland. And in the year the first Harry Potter book marks its 20th anniversary, it said there was no better excuse to visit some of the locations made famous by the magical films....

Two new inititiaves will help home owners

Launched last month, SEEP – Scotland’s Energy Efficiency Programme – is a new, interest free equity loan scheme. It is financed by a £10 million fund from the Scottish Government that will enable home owners on low incomes to borrow up to £40,000 to make energy efficiency improvements and essential repairs to their properties.
