Buckie is a historic fishing village and is Moray’s largest coastal settlement. The port and maritime influence remain a key part of the village’s identity with a number of harbor related industries, an RNLI station, fishing industry museum and numerous charming fisherman cottages. St Peter’s Church which overlooks the town is a prominent landmark and can be seen for miles around. Buckie benefits from a number of leisure facilities including a swimming pool and fitness centre and like many other coastal towns in the region has a number of fantastic golf courses nearby and popular cricket and football clubs. The spectacular Speyside Way runs from Buckie south westwards to Aviemore, a distance of approximately 65 miles.
