Forres is a former royal burgh bypassed by the A96 and benefits from a mainline railway station. The town has proud involvement in both Scotland and Britain in bloom winning a number of awards and accolade’s ensuring the town’s parks and public places are immaculately maintained and full of colourful displays and ornamental sculptures. The town is full of history and is also mentioned in Shakespeare’s Macbeth. The impressive Sueno’s stone on the outskirts of Forres is the largest Pictish Stone in Scotland and stands at around 22 feet. Forres is also close to a number of impressive castles nearby including Cawdor and Brodie.
